Beverly is a Licensed Master Social Worker with 25 years experience in social work. She is a certified trauma specialist through the Trauma and Loss Institute, and is certified at the highest level in Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR). EMDR is the gold standard treatment modality for those whom have experienced physical, emotional and/or military trauma.
Beverly works from a human development perspective with people of all ages, from the very youngest at 2-3 years old to the most elderly, and with people at all stages of development, and with a variety of stressors.
These stressors may include trauma, loss, grief, depression, anxiety, parenting and/or life changes.
Beverly received her college education as an adult learner from Grand Rapids Community College and Aquinas College while working and raising her then young family. She received her Master’s degree in Social Work from Western Michigan University in 1993.
She believes that we are all given gifts of creativity in one manner or another, and often uses the arts and creativity in the therapeutic process with her clients. These include quilting, handwork, weaving, scrapbooking, writing, cooking, painting and gardening.
Beverly has limited availability at a satellite office space in Lowell and provides services there as well.
